LETTER RIBBON
HORSE SHOE
From the stories behind the creation of THE CRIMIE's items to behind-the-scenes anecdotes and more,
A column sharing a wide range of insights under the theme of "a little something useful."
And just like that, here we are for the third time. This time, shifting our focus slightly, we're turning to the fine jewelry that THE CRIMIE is proud of.
This time, I'd like to take a closer look at the HORSE SHOE collection, which combines a horseshoe motif with lettering ribbon.
Sorry for the sudden thought, but if you live without wearing the accessories you love, you're missing out on more than half of life. Is that an exaggeration? (laughs) Still, I think life would be quite different with accessories than without them. Back in the Showa era, people used to say that a businessman's only accessories were his wedding ring and wristwatch. But in modern Japan, where those values are still carried on, did time somehow stop somewhere along the way? (laughs) You only live once, and it's truly pointless to live in the present by outdated standards set by someone else. Whether you wear a suit or not, wearing an accessory or two won't interfere with your work, and if it boosts your motivation, there's no problem at all. Okay, I'd better stop before this gets me in trouble. (sweat)
So, since neither the accessories nor the people who choose them are at fault, let's live as we please—and the next step is to find the motif that's right for you. That's a bit tricky, since your taste is on the line in an instant.
What's more, once you reach adulthood, choosing everyday accessories based on looks alone is the height of nonsense. Most people probably want the things they choose to have real meaning. That's why I recommend a horseshoe motif.

It has long been widely known that in the West, horseshoes have been treasured both as protection against evil and as a way to invite good luck. (Many of you have probably seen a large horseshoe on the front door of a European home.) THE CRIMIE's collection brings this horseshoe motif to life using “lettering ribbon.” Why lettering ribbon? Because it embodies the idea of “carving out your life and making it your own story.” Isn't it simply romantic for a brand, as the creator of a product, to make something infused with a message of good luck for the people who buy it? (laughs) The horseshoe invites good luck, while the lettering ribbon carries the wish that your life will become a story of good fortune. Together, these two make the ultimate dream team.
This April, at the start of a new fiscal year, why not make a fresh start with horseshoe accessories instead of new clothes or a new hairstyle? Wear jewelry that sparkles in the gentle spring sunshine, and today, tomorrow, and the day after will surely be good days. I know, it sounds a little embarrassing, like a string of song lyrics (laughs), but it really should brighten up your everyday life.
