For the third installment, we bring you “BALLOON JACKET,” a new item from MSML’s current collection. From Omotesando, we share why he chose this piece from among so many, along with his comments.
The days are getting warmer, but temperatures still fluctuate a lot. I want to make the most of spring, so I’m looking for a jacket that can do it all. Something I can wear with sweats or a T-shirt for a casual look, but that’s also dressy enough for a small party. I hardly ever go to parties, though, since I don’t drink (laughs). Whatever the occasion, what matters most is that it’s lightweight and has a great silhouette. It should be comfortable to wear and complete the look on its own. I was looking for an all-purpose piece like that, and MSML’s BALLOON JACKET was exactly what I had in mind. As the name suggests, its balloon silhouette holds its shape even when worn unbuttoned, creating a relaxed look. On top of that, MSML’s distinctive mix of mode and streetwear is excellent. The timing is perfect, too, since it just went on sale, so I’m planning to get one.
