“STORY”
LOT : "1550" TAPERED SLIM FIT

and after starting the brand, we revisited that idea:
We wanted to properly embody the world of American casual style,
We began traveling back and forth to LA.
A few years later, starting in 2006, we set up in HOLLYWOOD.
we rented an apartment as our production base.

and since we were producing in LA,
wanting to make a garment with a story,
We took apart a number of pairs of Dickies pants,
there was a pair of pants made through repeated pattern cutting.
Before GARDEN TOKYO's Harajuku store opened in 2009,
This was before the store opened.

who had supplied Levi's red selvage denim for many years.
We were able to commission denim fabric from Cone Mills,
based on the silhouette born in the apartment.
named "WESTWOOD,"
We made a pair of slim jeans
where LOT: "1550" began.

By the way, WESTWOOD comes from the apartment
It was named after the BAR we often walked to.
And "1550" is the street number of the apartment on North Poinsettia Street.

making various pants and renaming it "LEX,"
as we shifted toward trousers,
The silhouette we arrived at
today, it's the "1550" TAPERED SLIM FIT.
it predates "7714" and "4812";
Like yakitori sauce that's been replenished since the restaurant opened,
it holds personal, meaningful memories.

at the time, between LA, NY, Europe, and TOKYO,
As I moved back and forth,
"We need a clean, well-made pair of slim chinos."
it suddenly occurred to me:
and wide-leg pants,
moving between slim-fit trends
with an enduring spirit,

but I wanted to make a versatile pair of pants.
